I'm going to be on my high school team in the spring, and I don't really have any idea what to expect. I'm pretty sure I've learned all the rules and things like that, but what are some things I should watch out for? Or any lingo that I should know so I don't look like an idiot when I start? ANY info would really be appreciated!

  1. The most important thing is communication.

if you are on attack then when you want the ball call for it. dont just say pass here say stuff like on your right, short right, long left, inside you stuff so that the person with the ball knows exactly where you are and can pass without to find you.

on defense call the player that you are going to tackle and tackle him!! there will be some instances where you will need to slide or change the person you marking so make sure you communicate what your doing.

there is alot more stuff to think about it but it mostly depends on your position. when you find that out feel free to ask again.

    good luck!!

  2. exactly what the bloke before me said, with the addition of tackle low and hard, when carrying the ball, do it with two hands unless your on a breakaway, so that you can pass or offload, e-mail me if you have questions and i'll help
