All PS3s come with Dolby True HD, & DTS HD, but to get full advantage of this features you must have a receiver that can decode Dolby True HD & DTS HD. In other words the PS3 sound system wasnt meant to be heard in old cheapy Vizio speakers. The only receivers/stereo systems to have Dolby True HD & DTS HD are Onkyo receivers which are about $600 to $1000 bucks. The PS3 with a 7.1 channel home theater system and a 1080p tv would go great with those Blu-rays and 1080p games. Youre looking at about $3000 for all of this. At the end its all worth it, trust me.

PS3 and '360's all have Dolby Digital and DTS.

Upgrades are available for both Dolby and DTS in HD formats!

PS3's have Dolby Digital surround and DTS surround formats.

Plus the PS3 firmware update 2.30 brings DTS-HD master audio to the console. Sweet!
