Playstation Games Help??

Question

ok so the game i want to buy is coming out for PS3 but i only have a PS2. i was wondering which way is it: PS2 games can be played on a PS3, OR PS3 games can be played on a PS2??

cuz i really want this game but im not gonna buy a PS3 for it when my PS2 is in perfect condition. so can i buy this PS3 game and play it on a PS2?? thanks =]

Sorry, but you can't play PS3 games on the PS2.

But you can buy a 80gig PS3 to play your PS2 games and PS3 games, and do other things. I'd say it depends on the game you want. Is it worth buying a PS3?

You cannot play PS3 games on a PS2

They would not bring it out if the new games could be played on PS2.

Just gonna have to buy a PS3 im afraid.

Nope sorry you can only play ps1 & 2 games on a ps2. What's the game called??? Edit the answer and tell me what the game is i'll try and find out if it's on ps2. x*x

You cant play ps3 games on a ps2. There are no ps3s anymore that will play ps2 games if your in uk. You can get 80gig one from japan buy it might not work so i wouldnt risk it. Th new 80gig one in he uk wont play ps2 games.

Not at all PS3 games are on blu-ray disks so even if there was a way to take off any kind of decryption the laser in the PS2 is a DVD laser so it wouldn't even read it

lol you can only play ps1 and ps2 games on a playstation 2 and on the ps3 you can play ps2 games and probably ps1 games. but this game will probably come out on the ps2 because they still make games for the playstation 2
