Please Help? UK-USA Text Message?

Question

I have the number I want to text, but I live in the UK, and want to send a text to someone in New York! Is there any code I have to put first? I don't know I'm confused

If it's a UK number then you should be able to use the number as normal, if that doesn't work then replace the 0 with +44

ie 07xxx xxxxxx now +447xxx xxxxxx

If its an American number then you will need a +1 at the start in the same way as the other number. Hopes this helps a little

The format of a US number, (including mobiles) is 3 digits (area code) , 3 digits and 4 digits, like [phone]

To text the US you add 00 (international access code), then the country code for the US 1. So to send your text message to the above no, you would need to dial:

00 1 123 456 7890

Texting US networks can be a bit ropey sometimes. They can take a while to get the text, even though your handset confirms it has been sent.
