Please ID this vegetable?

Question

I have this veg and I don't know what it is. It is shaped like a slightly flattened ball about as big as my fist. It's pale green and hard, kind of like broccoli stem. The top of it has a stem as big around as a pencil. The bottom has some small, incompletely formed leaves. The are some raised concentric arcs around it.

Any ideas?

Sounds like kohlrabi to me.
