My hair was bleached almost a month ago and now it is SO SO damaged, it feels like straw! It used to be pretty and curly but the curls have turned to poofy frizzies. I have been doing deep conditioning treatments and use hair mayonnaise mixed with my normal conditioner. I also have the ion 'effective care treatment rebuilder/moisturizer' but none of the mentioned treatments seem to be helping. what can i do to get my pretty hair back?? :-(

  1. well theres really nothing you can do,

my hair dresser said that the really only thing u can do is cut it all off but idk if u would want too do that.

  2. maybe you can  try a hot oil treatment. they often just usually cost like a dollar at the drug stores. my cousin used it and it worked fine. if u dont want tha try using a restoring shampoo and conditioner. like pantene restoratives collections or dove damaged hair therapy. if you are using a 2 in one shampoo and conditioner, dont. they mix together and so hey call "works better" but when they do mix, it just causes more damage to your hair. so just get shampoo and conditioner SEPERATLEY. and after u get out of the shower, towel dry your hair and quickly put a leave in condtioner. i use loreal heat seeker. for strait hair. maybe since you hair curly hair, u can use the heat seeker for curls. i think its in black and purple. apply it when its damp. not wet but damp. then blow dry your hair. it looks beatiful. hope this helps.

  3. Hair is 98% protein and 2% moisture. When hair is severely damaged, it is stripped of a lot of protein which causes hair to break and appear frizzy, etc... from Damage.

I have, thin, curly hair and I dyed mine probable 25 times in the past 10 years but have recently stopped cause I don't want to be bald lol.

However, after a few months my hair is back to being healthy and my frizz has now turned back into my curly ringlets!

I used this protein treatment I got from Sally's Beauty Supply store called Aphogee Protein treatment. It's just been made available to the public, meaning it used to be sold only at professional beauty stores available only to Salons. Thus, it's SUPER powerful but when used right is amazing.

You leave the protein treatment in for a while and use a blow dryer to help the protein penetrate your hair and fill in the dry, damaged, and weak areas (I left mine in for 4 hrs. It sounds like a long time, but you need to let the protein penetrate the hair shaft and fill int he areas where protein has been stripped). After the protein treatment I used a deep conditioner and left that in for a good 2 hrs and also used a blow dryer to help the conditioner penetrate. The BEST deep conditioner I have found is the deep conditioner from L'oreals Naturals line found at Sallys.

After that, I washed and Voila ! My hair was feeling better already, and after 4 months my hair was WAY HEALTHIER and I didn't have nearly as much breakage.

Any more questions, fell free to email me :)

  4. hi i am a hairdresser ( exp for 35yaers) i would go to a  salon to get your hair fix.. mayonnaies does not work(its for cooking)

  5. Try to  go to a salon and see what they can do to help u hair get back to normal that's what i did and my hair is much batter then what it was just explain how u hair is and they do what they do best

  6. Suave makes hot oil treatment in little individual-use tubes. They will make your hair look more like normal and keep it from splitting off before it has a chance to grow out. The instructions on the tubes say to only heat them under hot tap water, but you should go ahead and heat them in boiling water anyway. It's much more effective as hot as you can make it because it will seep into the pores of the hairs better. Just be careful not to burn your fingers when you're using it.

  7. use garnier fructis moisture works system for dry damaged hair and use their anti-frizz serum, i swear on this stuff it works. my hair was badly damaged because i used too much chemicals an heat on it and just after two days i saw results from using the shampoo and conditioner alone but the anti-frizz serum will work great on your hair
