I started my period yesterday,I really want this month to be the month. When should I start using OPK and how do they work??

I have had the worst luck with OPK's. Have s*x every day. Try an OPK, but check when to start on the box.

Start sexual intimacy during your period, now, or directly after your period and continue every three or four days throughout the month. You will then be assured of having the sperm already in place when the egg drops and will double your chances of conception.

Kits are expensive and sometimes are inaccurate with the results causing you to lose time and confidence. By listening in to your body's signals during ovulation: a clear rather than cloudy discharge, enhanced sexual desire, increased discharge, and a feeling of light cramping as the egg is released and begins to travel are good indications of ovulation. Focus on having the sperm already in place before the egg arrives to increase your chances of conception. Best wishes, G

It depends on the length of your cycle. Assuming that you have a 28 day cycle and you will ovulate on day 14, you can begin testing on day 10. I use First Response. It's a bit pricey but you want accuracy! When you buy the kit, there is a chart in the directions that tells you when to start testing based on your cycle.They come in a pack of 7. You pee on the stick at around the same time each day( afternoon hours are best) until you detect your LH surge. This surge is what causes ovulation. Woman typically ovulate within 36 hours after detecting the LH surge. It's important to have s*x every other day beginning on day 10 and everyday for three days when you get a positive reading.
