  1. ;kl;

  2. This website shows a family tree for Demeter:

    http://www.timelessmyths.com/classical/f...

    and see this site for descendants of Saraswati (note the spelling is not saraswaRti)

    http://www.geocities.com/bro_khem/29Laks...

    Hope it helps!

  3. Go to ancestry.com. On the left-hand side they have a link specifically for immortals. It's great: I tried it out. My great-great-great-great grandmother was a descendant of Ra.

  4. These two deities were not real people.  There would not be anything in ancestry.com about them.

    You may get a better response over in mythology and folklore.

  5. Demeter (Ceres in Latin) was the daughter of Cronos and Rhea and thus was a full sister to Zeus, by whom she had her daughter Persephone, and Pluto, who carried Persephone off and married her.  Cronos and Rhea were the children of Uranos (heaven) and Gaia/Gaea (earth), and farther back than that you can't go.

    As for Saraswati, this site give some information on her: http://www.lotussculpture.com/sarasvati....  According to it, she emerged from Brahma's mouth wearing her white sari--a story rather similar to that of the birth of Athena, fully armed, from the head of Zeus.  When you click on the site, you'll see that she resembles Athena in other ways, too.

    Of course the genealogy of the Hindu gods is a bit more complicated than that of the Greco-Roman gods, since some Hindu gods (especially Vishnu) were reborn several times as humans who then became gods in their own right.  When Vishnu did this, his wife, Lakshmi, was usually also reborn and grew up to marry him again.  In the Ramayana, for instance, they're Rama and Sita--instantly attracted to each other at first meeting but unaware of their divine true natures.
