Please help--living with drug addicts!!?

I desperately need advice. Due to personal reasons, I was forced to move into a friend's house in PA. Her son got out of jail and moved in, and we continually find the evidence of his and his wife's heroin use (aka burnt spoons, empty capsules, etc). How can we get him arrested without getting arrested ourselves? He's currently on probation in MD for the jail time (armed robbery) and supposedly has a letter from his PO saying he can be in PA. When we tell him to get out, he just breaks in anyway. We don't know what to do. Please help us!!

Get a temporary restraining order. I don't think you will be arrested unless you yourself are on probation or have a criminal record. a TRO will ensure that that person cannot come within the dwelling and near you for a period of time no less than 6 months up to 3 years. If he violates the order he will then be in violation of parole and go back to jail. You are not going to go to jail because you want a junkie out of your house. you don't even need to be the homeowner or renter on the lease agreement. Get the TRO and for godsake talk to a law enforcement officer about what else you can do. they dont throw people in jail that don't want junkies in their house.

go to the police and tell whats going on... get some advice on how you should handle the situation. after that put them out if they break in than call the police and have the arrested for breaking and entering

Um, just call the police and tell them everything you just told us and they will handle it. You won't get in trouble unless you are guilty of things yourself.

tell his PO. They can and will drug test and then problem solved. Or call the police, your reporting the problem they wont arrest you for his drugs.

You need to get a Temp Rest Order like Chuck D. said. If you don't do that then you have nothing to complain about. YOU have to take action, you can't sit around and talk it out or talk about it. GO TO THE COURT HOUSE NOW and get the order. You need to be proactive for everyone's sake. There are still 2 days left in this week and if you are unsure of what to do then call the court house and speak to a clerk, they will tell you what you need and what to do. Any judge hearing this will issue an order. If the person comes back to the house, all you have to do is call the local police number and the rest will be history. He'll be on a probation violation and can not bail out. You know what to do, you just haven't brought yourself to doing it. You aren't helping anyone by sitting around and worrying about when he'll break in....If you are serious, get it done and get it done as soon as possible! (like today)

First tell them that they have been warned and you guys will not tolerate ANY drug use in the house, because of it being your responsibility/your friend's harboring a drug addict. Mention calling the police about it.

If they continue to do it, then call the police. They had a chance, right?

As for now, just talk to them and intimidate them.

Go to the police and tell them what is going on.  Let them know you are reporting a crime going on in your home.  If you do nothing and then they raid the place, there is a good chance you will get arrested also since it is going on in your home.

I think more than anything else your top priority should be your won safety. Do not let the couple feel threatened... you never know what they are capable of ... You should straight away report it to the police and organise it in such a way that the couple do not trace it to you. I beleive the police has certain policies of protecting the identity of the people reporting the crime. Take good care and do not get into any arguments with the couple or let them know taht you know!!
