Hi! I am usually a very optimistic and happy person, but I just got first period 3 weeks ago, and I am already having mood swings! I have had a little sadness mood swing for 3 days, and it is still here a bit! I really do try to control it, and I feel a bit better now, but how do I get them to stop? Is this normal? I am anticipating my next period on the 15th or 16th, by the way, since my last was on the 18th of July. It feels weird, since I have no reason to be sad! I am very fortunate and lucky! When I run, it feels better, by the way.

  1. You should exercise daily and eat healthy to help your body regulate the mood swings, go out and keep active. If you let yourself sulk in your sadness, it will overcome you. Take control of your body.

  2. Yes hormones will cause mood swings.  Exersize, meditation, consistant sleep schedual will help

  3. Since you did just get your first period it is very normal to be experimenting mood swings. When I got my first period I experimented mood swings for a while. They won't last to much longer. You're just getting them so bad now because your body just went through that change and your body is still trying to get used to that change.

  4. Its PMT. Basically every little probalem seems ten times worse. Running might release endorphins which boost your mood. Your basically one big chemical reaction! (everybody is). I'm not sure what you can do to help alleviate the moods as i have never felt mine that severe to warrant attention.

  5. go to  the dr, to get meds to control ur mood swings

  6. yes,it is normal during your period, have you  taken some pills like Midol or something, those usually helps, and if running or excercise helps you don't stop is actually good to stay active.if this continues, when you are not on your period talk to someone professional about it.
