  1. Push ups, push ups and push ups again =))) Seems like it's the thing you'll need the most)))

  2. Well, according to my experience in the PT instructer program in the US army(Was the only foreigner qualified for PT instructing :),The US army PT program consists of  3 phases. The 2 mile-run,the sit ups, and the push ups which the latter two consists of one 2-minute set.

For the push up,spread out your hands just a little more then your shoulders and try to bend down in a complete prone position with your belly almost touching the ground. The PT program is focused mainly on "Posture" rather then mere numbers of how much you can "pump it up".You`d be frustrated by the "no-counts" you may get from unproper posture,so try to work on it first. No sagging in the middle.

Do as many pushups you can in a 2 minute period(Called a "Set") and rest for a minute and do another set.Keep repeating until you tire out.

For the situps, your elbows MUST touch your knees, which should be bent in a 45 degree position.Follow the same precedures as the pushups.

The 2mile run is going to be a challenge, but try keeping it into 15 mins at the least.Keep repeating running and walking in certain intervals then increase the intervals of your running phase.

Keep it up,and you`ll do fine.

Also, try to divide the week and make one day a running day,the next day a muscle day and so on.This is for providing enough rest and to balance the development of your muscles.

  4. Push ups, sit ups, crunches, pull ups & running.

    Repeat until you're exhausted.

  5. Work on your push-ups as much as possible. Make sure you run at least 3 times a week and do sit-ups. Ask your recruiter about the Army PT test and make sure you can blow that away before you join the Army. Good luck

  6. Your best bet it to work on the classics.  Run, push ups and sit ups.  Also helps to do some free weights if you can.
