Question:

Please interpret this dream for me!?

The dream started with me in the hospital, in the birthing room, literally in the stirrups and about to give birth. Everything seemed so ridiculously real. I was feeling the contractions and breathing, etc. A bunch of random people were there; my parents were not there, nor was my boyfriend. All of a sudden my twin brother comes to my side and says, "tell them you want to be asleep." I said, "No! I want to see it all happen!" I then see two brothers that I know walk in the room and I dislike the youngest. My best friend suddenly appears and tells the brothers to go wait in the waiting room. I start breathing really heavily and I think I was about to give birth, but then I woke up.

A little background on me: I am a 20 year old female. I am not pregnant and I do not have any chance of being pregnant since I am on birth control. However, I do have an extremely strong maternal feelings and would love to have children sometime soon. Thank you for your help!

  1. Maybe it's just hormones. I have a mother instinct and I'm not a mother yet, nor pregnant, but whenever I'm around children they love me and I love them. So, maybe it's your maternal instincts kicking in telling you that either you'd be a great mother, or that it's almost time for you to have  a baby.

It also could be your subconcious dreaming for you, meaning you want to have children. I want children, so sometimes I'll have dreams of me giving birth too.

Also, you could be scared of the birthing process, and your mind could be distorting the image for you, because you're afraid of that process. Lord knows I sure am. (And sqeeze and push and breath and ugggg. Oh lord. Not ready for that yet. : )

It obviously has to do with Children, so that's the obvious subject. SOrry honey, that's all I can think of. Good luck.

  2. Giving birth represents the need to have new beginnings and fresh starts. This dream could actually be telling you to make amends with those that you are not close to. The fact that your parents and boyfriend were not in the birthing room means that your relationship with them is ok. The twin brother, whom you are not close, to is the one you need to make amends with. The others in the dream that you did not know or didn't like could also represent relationships that you need to make amends in. Also, you own inner self may need some tender loving care. Go to http://www.coping.org/growth/little.htm to work on your own inner child. Good luck and hope this helps.

  3. I think that your dream means if you ever gave birth to a child you'd wanna see it all done- you waited your whole life for this moment and you wouldn't want to miss it.

Your family being in the room can mean that their there every step of you life choices argo if you decide to have a baby they'd help with your problems and c**p like that.

  4. Giving birth in a dream means "giving birth" to a new idea or project (creativity).  It also means discovery of something new.  Maybe discovering something about yourself you didn't know before.  The fact that your mom, sis, and boyfriend weren't there, I think means that they give you room to be yourself.  I think your're bro being there and saying, "Tell them you want to be asleep" signifies that you and him have conflicting views on things (you said NO).  As for the other people in the room, that just means you are aware of your surroundings and you know who you want to share your experiences with, and who you don't.

  5. It's interesting that your twin brother tells you to be asleep.  He's your twin and feeling your pain, even in your dream while you're giving birth.

Also, the two brothers walking in is interesting.  There are siblings all over the place.  Whether you dislike one of them or not is not important.  Your best friend is there (best friend is probably closer to you than any sibling would be right)?  Also normal in this type of dream.

Dreams are not necessarily representative of the exact thing you are dreaming.  It's obvious you want children, it's obvious by not only the dream but by the siblings that surround you while you're giving birth in your dream.

Nothing unusual about the dream really.  You want kids and probably want more than one.

Hope you get what you are dreaming of.....
