Plucking after fresh tattoo?

Question

i just got a tattoo done 4 hours ago (pics included), i shaved the rest of my arm around the tattoo but there is this tiny patch of hair on the tattoo. I know i can't shave but can i pluck the hairs off (even if it takes hours doing hair by hair) ?

I would suggest just leaving it alone. Does the hair really matter? I think the only reason the tattoo artist shaves it is to make it easier for them to apply the tattoo.

um...I wouldn't pluck them, it might affect the tattoo.....

But...Why would u shave your ARMS or anywhere, your a guy right?

Well done! I really enjoyed seeing your new tat!

As far as the hair, .. just leave it alone, and do excellent aftercare on that fine tat, and when it's healed, sunblock for life.

You should really call the tattoo artist and ask, I'm not sure this is a subject that anyone on here is an expert on. To be safe, I would wait at least a week or two. My guess is that you could inadvertently pull out some ink or s***w it up in some way, but that's just a guess and I would consult a professional. You don't want to ruin it and then go crying back to the guy who did it.

that woudlnt be wise. It could cause an infection, especially since its fresh. Just let it heal.

LEAVE IT ALONE! if you want to take the chance of ruining your tattoo with an infection the go right ahead. Keep it covered, clean, and let the skin heal.

I wouldn't recommend it. Interesting tattoo. What does it mean? Or I guess I should ask...Why did you get it?

dont mess with it! seriously! dont tweeze it, shave it, or even lean on it too long. it doesnt take much to s***w up a 4 hour old tattoo

The tattoo artist was supposed to shave the area where the tattoo would be going before he tattooed you.

nah, that could mess up your tatoo by messing up your skin, because when you pluck you are pulling out the hair which will stretch the skin....

no, don't touch it. It might get infected and then you'll have to get it fixed!
