I once heard Pocono Raceway's corners were made to resemble corners from three different tracks. What are these racetracks?

  2. bubasti is right   glad to see there are still some real knowledgable fans left that can get past the hype.

  3. It does. Turn one is made after Trenton Speedway(now defunct) 14 degrees of banking. Turn two is made after Indy, 8 degrees of banking and turn three is made after the Milwaukee mile, 6 degrees of banking. Its also been called a Roval(Road course & oval)

  4. Turn 1 - Trenton

    Turn 2 -  Indianapolis

    Turn3 - Milwaukee

Pocono Raceway has a unique design. Each turn is modeled after turns at 3 different tracks. Turn One (14 degree banking) was modeled after the now defunct Trenton Speedway, Turn Two (also known as "The Tunnel Turn") is like Indianapolis Motor Speedway (8 degree banking), and Turn 3 (6 degree banking) is similar to The Milwaukee Mile

  5. I heard on "This Week in Nascar" that 1 corner was to be like a Michigan or California; another like Indianapolis & the like Bristol or Dover.

Don't quote me on that... But that's what hubby & I remember.
