Poems................?

I'm really not into Poems! In fact I think there pointless I wanna start writing Poems but I don't know how what are some ideas?

Poem: "Love"

The heart thumps

and pumps blood

It is the most important part of the body

And you would want to start writing pointlessly?

You might be surprised to learn of all that poetry comprises from limericks to epitaphs. In fact, things that you have read might be considered poetry and you didn't know it. I suggest you just write...and as you progress in ability to convey what you see and feel, to others with language...something you write will be poetic.

well i guess you could say it all depends on your personality really.

I have some poems published in the library of poetry when i was like 12, so five years ago.

the best tips i could think of is to find something that you really like, write about it.. give descriptions about it.

and it may soon come to you.

go to poetry.com for some inspiration. and poems dont have to ryhm so write what you feel.

you can get in touch with yourself by just pouring your emotions out on the page.

if your not into poems then why do you want to write them? Poetry is expressing what you feel and putting it into words on a paper. You know, writing you soul down. Its a thing you have got to be into. Its hard if you dont want to do it, it will not come out right and will sound lame. But if you really want to write poetry, like you really have a passion for it. Then maybe get a book on it or something, and just try it. Feel what you feel and then right it down. Good luck!

Just express yourself and don't worry about rhyming the words.  

Write your feelings and thoughts as though you were verbally telling your best friend.

I will give you an example of one of my own that was inspired by seeing a beautiful woman in line at a market.

Memory

The ocean spray splashes into the air causing a mist to form softly falling upon my face.

I close my eyes only for a moment in anticipation to feel this mist as it touches gently upon my features.

I can smell the scent of the sea as the breezes woos the fragrance from the water over the glistening hot sand to where I am.

The aroma enters within my nostrils. I inhale clearing my mind in order that I may envision your image.

You see how I imagined each step and then wrote it out.  No magic just the use of my imagination and passion.
