Reading forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 join him at the newly promoted Premier League club, since he feels it would benefit the player and the club.
Over the last two seasons, Arshavin has slowly, but steadily been falling out of favour at the Emirates. The player is now nothing more than a fringe player, which has made his future at the North London club seem to be rather uncertain for the time being.
The player had been loaned out of the Emirates last season, but this time around he has been making a few appearances as a substitute.
Despite that fact, Pogrebnyak, who plays with Arshavin for the Russian national team, feels that the player would be able to prolong his career should he move to Reading.
When talking about Arshavin, the powerful striker is reported to have said: "It's Arshavin who has to make the decision. Anton Zingarevich knows him well enough without listening to my opinion, as he is from St Petersburg.”
"Andrey is a master and there is no doubt that it would be great to see him at Reading."
The Russian striker himself isn’t having the best of times at Reading. So far, he has managed to score only five goals for the team, and his performances really haven’t helped the cub soar to the heights that they dreamed of achieveing.
In fact, if anything, Fulham, whom Pogrebnyak used to play for previously, are doing far better than Reading are at the moment.
The striker is well aware of this fact, but has suggested that he doesn’t care about how they are doing, since he has no regrets over his decision to leave Fulham.
He added: "My former team Fulham are doing better than Reading at the moment, but I wouldn't say that I am sorry I left them."
At the moment there have been no comments about Arshavin and his future from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, but should Reading show some serious intent of landing the player, there could be a possible move in the works, given the fact that Arshavin is now thirty one years old.
