How many poison arrow frogs could you keep in a 61x30x38cm vivarium or a 76x30x38cm vivarium? Also, is it alright to keep different types of poison arrow frogs together (as long as they are same size, same requirements etc)? Thanks.

  1. its legal it safe (as they loose there skin toxins in captivity (they get there toxins from there wild diet))

how many depends on species as they all need different amounts of space some like tall tanks some prefer more ground space some like lots of room to do there own thing some like living in groups pick a species and find out

also NO u cant mix species due to bacterial/disease/parasite and stress issues

  2. i think its illegal to keep them ,as well as dangerous, any way

  3. i know its legal to keep them in florida im not sure on the size that would depend on how many and im not an expert on them but they are not poisonous in captivity it comes from their wild food thats what causes it

  4. Perhaps Tommo should find out what the f*ck he is talking about.  It's not illegal to keep these frogs, at least not in UK it isn't.  They are also not dangerous to keep as pets as they lose their toxicity in captivity.  You can also keep different types of poison arrow together as they are all of similar size.

Someone says that you can't mix the species for what ever reasons, but I have seen this done in a very reputable reptile shop and all of their poison arrow frogs are in the same vivarium.
