how do i catch mespirit with out using a master ball

Once you have found/located mesprit, I reccomend using the 3 routes around Jubilife City(North,East and South),

Also induce a status effecting condition (I reccomend Sleep/paralysis, as Poison will slowly kill the pokemon) and use an attack such as Mean Look to prevent escape.

Then once it's health is in the lower red are start throwing Ultra ball or Dusk balls if it is night time.

P.S

If this battle runs over 15+ turns i advise using Timer balls.

P.S.S

Mesprit will use struggle if it runs out of PP of all of its moves, this should give you around 50 turns.

my brother caught it with a luxary ball.

Go and catch a golbat which knows mean look.. Golbats with mean look can be found at snowpoint temple around lvl 52..

use ultra ball!

find it. and use a move which prevents running away. like spider web, or that move which wobbufet knows ,im not sure what its called.

anyway

once it cant run away anymore, you can use the same method as you would any other pokemon, weaken it. use negative status effects, then spam ultra balls

just make sure it doesnt run out of PP as it will use struggle thus killing itself =[

also, it helps if you have found it already that way you know where it is,  if you see that you are in the same area as it. make sure to use repels, and save the game (if you use repels the only pokemon you will find is mesprit)
