Pokemon emerald cheats help?

i hav VBA but every code i get messes up my game my pokemon fire reds entire pc system is nothing but bad eggs and i cant release them so please help me

i think you might be out of luck.  i have vba too and all the cheats i look up are bull.  think about it.  your playing a gba emulator, speeding up time,  cheats just don;t work.
