Pokemon help! shiny pokemon tips needed!?

i have been using the super rod at lake verity and ive killed almost 200 gyarados' and still no shiny?

should i keep going or is there something im missing?

if i should keep going how much longer?

Make sure you've completed the game before hunting.

Shinies WILL eventually come if you kill it continously without killing other pokemon.

it's like 1 out of 1890 for being shiny

You could just use action replay or something.
