  1. nope.

    A,2,3,4,5

    or A,K,Q,J,10

either one of those are straights.

    good luck

  2. no, because the A has to be either low or high, it can't be both.

(Btw, if it's all the same suit, you have a flush.)

  3. NOPE.

  4. This depends on the game you play.  This is considered a "wrap-around" or a "round-the-corner" straight.  Possible wrap-around straights are: JQKA2, QKA23, and KA234.

Wrap-around straights are non-standard poker hands.  Hands like these are usually allowed in home games where the dealer is given the option of calling any poker game he/she desires.  Typically, if a non-standard poker hand is to be allowed in the hand, the dealer must declare this at the beginning of the hand before anyone has anted or been given cards.  If the dealer does not explicitly declare that a non-standard hand is allowed before the hand starts, he-she can not later claim that the non-standard hand is a valid hand.

Again, these types of hands are played in home games.  If a group of guys/gals have been playing for a long time these types of hands may become "standard" hands allowed in their games.  Oft times when a new person joins the game he/she is blind-sided by these "house standard" hands.  So one should be deligent when joining a group who have been playing together a long time and ask if there are any weird non-standard hands or rules that should be discussed.

  5. In "normal" rules, this is not a straight.  You'd have to be playing some dealer's choice poker variant where that type of hand was made legal before play started.

  6. No, not even close.

  7. nope, ace is either low or high unless your doing a dealer variant

  8. No, you cannot wrap a straight in poker.  Ace is either high or low, but never a connector to a high and low straight like your example.

So the lowest straight is A2345, where ace counts as the number one.  Or high, for TJQKA where ace is the highest face card.

  9. if you have 4 and 5

    or

    J and 10

then yes you hit the staright.
