Question:

Poll: What is your favourite cheese?

And how do you eat it? On toast? In a nice baguette? On biscuits? Or incorporated into a yummy recipe, such as macaroni or cauliflower cheese? I'm making myself feel hungry here!

  1. Has to brie for me

    Brie with Cranberry Sauce panini is my idea of heaven

    Alternatively Tesco sell a great cheddar with either caramelised onion or chilli which is great on crackers


  2. Cheddar. I usually have it on toast or on a home made pizza

  3. Munster without a doubt.  This is a regional rind washed cheese from France/Germany, which is rather pungent and is known to be the cause of at least two international incidents.

    My favourite way of eating it is borrowed from my local Italian deli, who make a baguette consisting of warm, pan fried spinach with garlic, chili & brie.  I fry garlic, chili and a shallot in butter, add a bag full of garden spinach, cook down for 10 mins, add a chopped tomato and cook for a few more mins, then serve in a fresh french baguette with the Munster.

    I guarantee that once tasted ur taste buds will never be the same again.

    manchego,gubbeen  just to name a few I like my cheese straight up

  8. Trader Joe's has a great havarti with dill, it's excellent with crackers!

    Muenster, sliced with crackers

    Goat cheese to spread on crackers or a baguette, or crumbled in a salad

    Cheddar is great on tuna melts, or with an apple

    Mozzarella on pizza

    Fresh parmesan and romano for any Italian recipes

    I also like Swiss (though I didn't used to) and provolone

  10. I like co-jack for grilled cheese, but my favorite sandwich is turkey, tomato and dill Havarti, grilled until it's all melty.  I also like Havarti on crackers or a piece of toast.  

    There isn't really any cheese that I don't like.

    I eat it on crackers, loads of crackers, i butter the crackers first as well!!! naughty but true. i like wholemeal crackers, and wash it all down with a bottle of red....HEAVEN.

    Remember Super Size me documentary...well my freind and i have super WINE AND CHEESE ME nights, where we consume way too much of both !! happy days

  21. I love cottage cheese on baked potatoes, Cheddar, Cathedral City is nice! Philadelphia, Leerdammer, Jarlsberg, Emmental, Gouda, Edam,  or smoked cheese. I dislike Brie / Camembert or stinky blue cheese!
