Pony camp tips?

Tommorow I'm going to my first pony camp. I'm going with my friend from my riding school, & she's been to the centre before and apparently it's fantastic. I was just wondering if any of you went to pony camp and when it came to going back home you regretted not doing something? I'd just like to know how to make the most of it ^^ Thanks.

  1. Go there with your mind set to have fun and learn everything you can.

  2. I've been to several different horse camps with and without my horse and they've all been awesome! Here are some tips I have for you:

After your riding lessons, write down the good things your instructor said about your riding and the bad things. This way you'll know what you need to improve upon and if you are improving at all in the first place.

Spend time with the horses. Bond with them as much as you can. It might make it harder to leave, but you'll get a better understanding as to how horses think, behave, and the likes and dislikes.

Spend a lot of time with the horses, but don't forget to spend time with the other campers either! The friends you make at camp could become lifelong friends and you'd have a lot of fun with them.

I hope you have fun at your first horse back riding camp and good luck!!!!:D!

  3. Just take every opportunity you have to do something fun and new. I'm sure it will be great. Have fun! :)
