Pool party themes? NO LUAU!!!!?

Any ideas for a theme on a pool party that is NOT a luau?

Otherwise maybe a bbq theme with the red and white checked table cloths, cook food on a bbq etc.  Target in their dollar section in the front of the store right now has a lot of stuff for a bbq themed party including those plastic hamburger baskets and hotdog holders, corn holders, red and white checked tablecloths and pot holders/kitchen towels.

Duh!  Under the sea a la The Little Mermaid.  Fool proof plan right there.  Otherwise I think it would be rad to have an Adam & Eve garden of Eden paradise theme.  Right?

Surf and Turf-

Serve hamburgers and grilled shrimp, use the pool and set up a game on a nearby grassy area like volleyball or bocce ball, serve Blue Hawaiians and The Grass is Greener cocktails (http://www.drinksmixer.com/drinko13n810.... )  Williams Sonoma had a bundt cake pan in the shape of a sand castle.  Decorate with chocolate shells.
