Possible ear infection?

I think I might have an ear infection. My hearing in my right ear is muffled, and it hurts to put a Q-tip in that ear. Is there anything I can do tonight to ease the pain? I'm not able to go to the doctor until Thursday because it's late tonight, and I have to work tomorrow.

Any home remedy's or suggestions are appreciated.

Get a washcloth, wet it, wrap it in saran wrap, microwave until warm. If you put it on your ear the warm moist heat helps with the pain.

Hydrogen peroxide helped me sometimes.

Number #1 rule of all health professionals- DO NOT PUT Q-TIPS IN THE EAR. The only thing you can do poor thing is to put some sweet  oil in the ear and probably use some ibuprofen for pain relief.
