Post message without distribution?

I am setting up a new group and want to load up old email messages into the group site. Is there a way for the moderator to add messages to the group without sending them out to the full email distribution too?

No.  There's not way to do that.  If it were possible and the old email messages you are speaking of are messages that were sent to you from another group or from anyone in general, that would be in violation of Yahoo Groups Guidelines.

Item #7. You may not post content which infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties.  

This would apply in an indirect way to posting those email messages anywhere on Yahoo.

no, not if you're wanting them as part of the archives. only way to get them to the archives it topost em. you'd have to save them else where
