I asked this question before and got little answers. When is it safe to go into your own swimming pool? I'm 5 weeks post partum and have stopped bleeding. In your experiences when did you go swimming post partum, and did you get an infection?

  1. If you've stopped bleeding I would think it would be safe for you to go. I think I went about that time with my first child. Course I always stop at like 2 weeks and then I do whatever I want to do.

  2. they usually recommend 6 wks thats when your post doctors visit is and he or she will give you the ok at that time.

  3. If you aren't bleeding and didn't have stitches it should be fine to swim. If unsure ask doc at 6week check up.

  4. If you had to be stitched, I think you should wait until after your checkup to make sure it is ok.  Otherwise, I can't think of a reason it would be an issue.

  5. congratulations on your baby however I would weight until my six weeks check up before I would get into the pool you may get some kind of infection and believe my they are no fun good luck with everything
