Posting questions?

i noticed that when i post a question on q/a that the category automatically pops up, when i ask another question of a different category it defaults back to the previous category?

Category selection aid is activated when you ask a question from the Answers home page only.

If you're in a category and select Ask, it assumes first that your intent is to ask a question in that category.
