  1.   Depends on what you want. If you like big size potato wait until the plant die, but if you planted them in the ground, try to dig a little bit and see the different sizes, if you like them chop the vegetative part, wait a few days to help the skin mature and then you can harvest them.

  2. Potatoes can be harvested any time after they flower. It is best to harvest soon after flowering because  potato blight can strike any time.from late July depending on the weather. Blight is triggered by moisture and cold nights. Sometimes the disease can be postponed by mulching and keeping the foliage dry by watering at ground level only. The disease starts as dark blotches on the leaves and stems followed by dying back of the whole plant. Move fast or the disease will go into the soil and infect the tubers. Cut off all the diseased stems at ground level and dispose of as much infected material as possible. Wait a week or so then dig the tubers. Potatoes grown under cover never get blight and don't need to be harvested until the foliage dies back.

  3. When the plants die.

  4. Do not harvest them until the stalks die down naturally, and as they are in flower at the moment, they should be ready in about 3/4 weeks
