Powels 34 cruiser?

does anyone have anything to say about these boats good , bad , or indifferent??

  1. They were ahead of their time in style and shape and fit-out. I have pictures of them, on trials on Breydon Water and moored at their build-base in Wroxham in the 1970s. They competed (in market terms) with vessels like Moonrakers, Princesses and the early Birchwoods; and in the States, Trojans - I always had a feel that they inspired a whole generation of fast cruiser/fishers (ie: Marlin, Shark-fishing type etc.) in the USA.

    As I say, ahead of their time.  

    Very fast, sleek and stylish.

    [The hire fleet versions, by the way, are a completely different subject, still lots around on the Broads. Great boats still.]
