Power Shower Trouble - Help Needed !

Question

Hi, we have a power shower with a salamander pump. The shower and pump were working fine before we went on holiday 2 weeks ago, now on return, the pump will not work and only buzz's. The hot and cold taps all work fine around the house and we can get some water from the shower if the head is lowered down.

Has the pump gone or can it be fixed?

Any help would be great.

first rule of engineering....turn it on and hit it with a hammer until it works. It may have seize due to a lack of use.

Check the impeller is free to turn , it might have got something jammed in it

it sounds like the pump has stopped working.. but the first thing to do is to make sure it is actually switched on at the spur & try a new fuse.. if still a problem..  it may be that there is air in the system.. you should investigate the cause in case you have a leak somewhere..
