I just bought a Kenwood KSC-WD250 and I don't know how to make it work. Plugged it RCA to my head unit, grounded it, hooked it to the blue/white. The only thing left to do is to power it using the car battery.

How do I plug my Kenwood KSC-WD250 on my Mazda Mx-3 93? Will it overload if I do plug it to my battery ? If so, is there another way to power iit ?

  1. Plug it straight to the battery like said above.  This is going to be the best way to connect it.

    Good Luck!!!

Edit:  You may have blown a fuse.  Check you fuse box and see if you did.

Make sure you are connecting the right wires to the battery.  The yellow wire is suppose to be connected to the battery.

Look at the manual to see what wires go to what.  It has a diagram that you can look at to see what goes where.

  2. your supposed to run a wire from your amp to the battery and it has to be thick enough because some wires aren't capable of holding certain amounts of watts so hook up the amp to the battery by running it through the car and drill a hole in the fire wall and put a sealer in it to keep it from cutting the wire and make sure you have a fuse somewhere on the wire under the hood and the just hook up your sub to your amp and it should work and be sure to hook up the wire to the positive side of the battery

  3. no it will not overload the car battery is 12-14v

all headunits and car assecorys normally run 12-16v

i always connect mine directly to the battery (earth and live)
