Pregnancy and toddler?

  1. all my kids went to me at about that age me 3 child now is 14 months and still attached to mom and she is 20 weeks along but my first to children did that and she was sad that they were close and they now follow me around not so much the oldest is back to being a mama's boy but they go through that dont let it be hard on you...


  2. Aw! He probably knows something is up.   I'm sure things will get better. Especially once the baby comes. I'm sure he'll get jealous and want to be around you alot more.   My son is 2 and we're trying for baby number 2.  My kid will call for daddy every once in awhile and will sometimes be more clingy with him and others than me.   It could just be a little phase.

    I'm no help though, sorry! :)  Good luck on your pregnancy!

  3. Personally, I think it's a combination of things:

    1) You were sick for a month and weren't able to care for him. He had to depend on someone else for the time and care you gave him.

    2) He's not your top priority anymore.

    Instead of worrying about this, how about working at this a family? Say, "Hey <name>, let's get ready for your new brother or sister! Do you want to help paint your new room and the nursery?"

    Get him involved with the pregnancy and instead of worrying about the change in attention, realize he's not yet 2 - he doesn't understand what's going on and honestly, you will ALWAYS beh is mom.
