  1. I don't recommend you start any unusual physical activity.  If your reproductive system was damaged by the abortion and may have an effect on this baby there is not much you can do about it.  Fear is getting a hold on you because of your previous decision to abort the other baby.  Know that there is nothing you can do about that baby, it is now in the hands of God.  I suggest you ask God for forgiveness and get yourself right with God.  I believe God wants you to have this baby- healthy and full term but fear and guilt may cause you to miscarry.

I expect several thumbs down with my perspective but let me say this first.   I have dealt with many young ladies in your situation.  I apprenticed as a midwife, taught childbirth education and attended unwed mothers' births.  I know what I'm talking about.  Further I am not trying to condemn you but rather show you the way out of your downward spiral.

  2. you should really stop worrying so much. the more you worry the harder it can be on your body. i smoked until i found out i was to and as long as your don't drink while your pregnant you have nothing to worry about. and with the whole eating thing, just try and eat healthy and drink lots of fluids. you will be fine, don't sweat it

  3. I smoked until I found out as well. (cigarettes) I am now 37 weeks and everything has been fine. Just don't get to stressed or have too much caffeine.

  4. Are you taking vitamins? And folic acid? If not, start to take these. Also try not to stress, stress isn't good.

Just eat a well balanced healthy diet. That will help.

Heres some links of things that should be avoided in pregnancy and what to eat:

    Goodluck.

Edit: To the person telling you to get right with God. Just think about this, God created everything right? So, he created abortions didn't he? Work that one out. An abortion is not a "downward spiral" that is so rude. You don't even know her, don't judge her. How rude.

  5. go to a doctor ask for some good supplements so the baby will be healthy too. dont exercise to much though. Eat healthy foods like from the food pyramid.

    good luck

  6. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen there is nothing you can do to change it.  Don't worry, stress can cus miscarriage.  I think that you will be fine.  Women do alot worst things then smoking and have normal full term pregnancies.  As far as the abortion goes, it should not have an effect on this pregnancy.  Good Luck!  Be Happy about your little bundle of joy!

  7. Well, you should definitely pick up a "What to Expect When Your Expecting" book'

  8. At this stage of the game, it's strictly up to your hormones.

Aside from any of your doctor's advice, it's a matter of waiting until the cruicial "first three months" are up.  After that, the risk of miscarriage diminishes a great deal (though not entirely).

Of course, you should always be eating healthy foods, watching that you get enough folic acid (although that should have begun before you got pregnant), getting enough sleep and exercising a moderate amount.  Also, watch your meds (legal and illegal...if applicable)...that could really mess up your body's chemistry.

There isn't too much else you can do right now except hope and pray.

One thing I found that "occupied" my mind was getting as much information as I could.  I bought copies of "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and "Your Pregnancy Week by Week".  Both of those gave me a lot of comfort since I knew what was normal and what was a cause for alarm.

Arm yourself with information from the bookstore or library.  The more you know, the more you'll be able to handle if and when the time comes.

Good luck to you and your little one.  God bless!

  9. Check out this page:

A uterine tonic can lessen your chances of miscarriage, but you can't take them as a substitute to exercise, good diet and rest!

    Good luck!

  10. lol... you'll be fine! i smoked even after my son was cookin'. but i eventually quit smoking too!! im also overweight and i did just fine. i wouldnt worry to much. infact. the stress from you worrying would do much more then smoking or being overweight would.

take my word for it. :)
