Question

ok well i started my first period on monday and it was heavier and then on thte 3rd day of mey period it was lighter and i wore a tampon and like 2 hours after i went to the bathroom and a little less then half of the string had blood on it and since there is school adn i am gonan change it every 4 hours i was wondering if i could wear a tampona nd a pad and i dont wanna get tss so what shoiuld i do and is it safe???? and i wear tampax pearl regular and i am not going up a size casue i still ahve liek 20 more!! thnx ahead of time!! :}

yes ur fine. but tampax pearl doesnt work too well. Kotex tampons are much better : )

There is nothing wrong with wearing a tampon and a pad. I&#039;ve done that on several occasions when my period is exceptionally heavy. Just make sure that you don&#039;t leave a tampon in for more than 6-8 hours at a time. I, like you, use tampax pearl. My suggestion is next time by the multi-pack (lite, regular, super OR regular, super, super max) that way you have options and you can use which ever based on your flow for that particular day.

If I understand you right....as long as you change the tampon every 4-5 hours you should be okay. Yes, you can wear a tampon and a pad incase your worried.

its absolutely fine to wear a pad under it. tss is rare but u should really try to prevent it. 4 hours would be fine but nothing above 6-8 hours! and if u get to about 3 hours and u start to feel it then its probably full and u need to take it out. after this box just go up an absorbency

well, yeah. you could wear a tampon for however long, and then just take it out, and wear the pad. the most you can wear a tampon for is supposed to be like 6 or 8 hours. im not sure. but yeah, ive had it where the string has blood on it before too. im not fully experienced with all this because i just got mine in february.

but i think you would be good wearing it for four hours. then, when you go to the bathroom, you could just take that out and wear a pad.
