Question:

Premature pups due to stress?

I rescued several poodles. One was pregnant but had her pupies premature and they all died. The person I got them from says that he thinks that the poodle had the puppies premature because she was stressed from the move. We live close so the ride was very short. How possible is it that it was from stress and not from an std or other illness?

  1. this could have happened... thats soooo sad... :[

  2. Dogs miscarry for the same reasons humans do. Stress, improper nutrition, illness in the mother, something being wrong with the pups etc. Before she miscarried was she checked out by a vet?

Add:  as I said could have been anything. If you can get her in as as possible to make sure she expelled everything from her womb and that other than being in need of a spay she is otherwise fine.

  3. well different house, different rules ect. THATS the stress not the car ride.. yeah I can see stress being there but.... Get a brucellosis test to be sure....

  4. What did the vet say most likely caused it?
