Question:

Preparation for a 3000m competition?

Hi Guys, my race is coming up this Thursday. So is there anyone out there who can provide me with tips on my competition... like how should i eat the day before and the race day it self? breathing... all those stuffs man.

*recently i have been feeling tired easily...

  1. carboload.

    eat those carbs man, they will give you enough energy to make it through.

    so for dinner the night before try pasta.

    and DO NOT drink any form of energy drink....it will most likely make you want a trip to the bathroom midway through the race. just get carbs in your system and use that for energy. none of this red bull or monster nonsense.

    water....love that water. not ice cold water, just cool.


  2. I am a track coach, and deal with runners. Make sure to eat very full nutrious meals, get lots of sleep, not any less, or oversleeping! Don't run much leading up to it, stretch lots, keep hydrated. NO STRESSING! Work on posture of running when stretching, it gets you in the mood and more limber! Good Luck! Make sure no to over-do everything. AVOID SALT MEALS, and fatty/oily foods! Fruits, meats, veggies, are always good. not hamburger and fries!
