  1. The few instructors I have known would require you to reach some minimum rank (think of 1st degree black belt as the true beginning of your training) before they would teach you to use pressure points.  You can look at charts, read books, and memorize lists of points, but none of that will prepare you for correct use of those points to protect yourself.

  2. What you saw is called compounding PPs. He is using one of the sciences associated with Kyushojutsu.

No one who has answered has given any info based on real knowledge of pressure points.

Please don't take any of their info as sound advice.

I will not give anymore than what I have already given.

  3. Hitting a pressure point will cause pain, there are no soft hits in martials arts only weak ones.  If you really want to learn ask my sensi chosonnija, mite post how to put pressure on them to easy take down.  Hes very understanding.

  4. You can do any number of spectacular looking technique against a non resisting partner and make them appear effective.

This is just more bull s**t by the bull s**t sellers.

hint to WINDSEEK if you sign in to you tube and stay signed in you can view any video.

  5. As far as pressure point attacking goes Okinawan Karate teaches presure point attacking, but the pressure point attacking that Okinawan Karate teaches is no different than joint attacking except it's done from a standing position instead of on the ground as in jujitsu.  As far as this "Bullshido" I just seen in your video link I'd say it looks familiar to "Faith Healers" at "holy roller" churches.  I've studied "pressure point attacking" in Okinawan Karate and it's nothing like that video just showed.  I think people can get caught up in the moment and play along just like they do in  "holy roller" churches nation wide, but by no means is this video any thing other than total "Bullshido"

I understand that everyone wants "magical ninja powers" but there are none.

FACTOID: BTW to set the record striaght a "Fish Hook" has always attacked an opponent's mouth ( Jaw area ) and plenty of fingers have been bitten trying to use the "Fish Hook".  ROTFL....grabbing the clavicle and smacking the cheek....good comedy right there now.

  6. The video on your link is no longer available. If you are interested in martial art techniques that deal with controlling someone through pressure point and joint lock manipulation then you should see if you can find a Hapkido class in your area. Hapkido is an 'everything' art teaching us every available strike, kick and block but with the added bonus of the joint lock and pressure point training.

  7. Sensei is spot on.  Right to the end.

If you wish to genuinely learn, find a good instructor.  If you are looking for something free, quick and easy try any McDojo.  Just be warned that you will get  back whatever you invest.   Money is the least valuable commodity, yet, many people will gladly and quickly take it from you, often giving you the value of that cash in return.
