Prices of Elctronics in Australia?

For those who have lived in Australia for at least one year, could you please tell me how prices of electronics and home appliances there compared to those in the US? Do they have equivalent of Best Buy or Circuit City?

Well..... not having lived in the US I couldn't tell you. It's been 9 years since my last visit there and our dollar is worth more of yours now too!

We have d**k Smiths and Tandy's or I think it's called Leading Edge now there's also "appliance world" "Bing Lee"... but I doubt it is anything like you have over there.
