I'm the only animator for an animated internet cartoon I'm working on and I want to speed up the process as fast as possible via the copy and paste feature. Right now I want to draw each character's eyes to fit certain emotions, such as draw a sad looking eye, then an angry looking eye, etc. When I draw them I want to categorize them all under certain emotional categories, but I need some basic emotions for them to go under such as happy, sad, etc.
But people have so many emotions I don't know which ones to use. What are the most primary emotions for this? Not too many please, just a simple list a small as possible with the most primary and basic emotions needed.
