Question:

Primerica regional vice president keeps calling?

My husband was getting started for working with Primerica and then decided he didn't want to. He went to the meetings quite often and what not. Well now since my husband hasn't been involved with them, the regional vice president won't quit calling. He (and a few others) claim that they are wanting to help him make some extra money but with as much as this guy is calling, it's becoming more of an annoyance and seems to be more about them and not my husband. I wish my husband would just be firm with this guy and tell him he's just not interested but instead, he just ignores his phone calls. Anyone else been in this position? How did you get them (Primerica) to finally leave you alone?

  1. The do-not-call list is not an option since your husband has established a relationship with Primerica by attending the meetings. Registering a complaint with the BBB is an option, but you have already mentioned the best solution. Instead of ducking the calls, your husband should speak to the RVP and make it very clear that he is not interested and would not welcome any further intrusion. These are a tenacious bunch and will not go away until forcefully told to do so.

The good side of this is that they obviously see something in your husband that they like very much. However, as you and your husband are surely aware, what they mean by helping him make some extra money is to help generate more revenue/profit for their division.

    Good luck.

  2. Have you considered adding their telephone number to the 'do not call' telephone list?

Maybe you can tell them that they are being reported to the Better Business 'negativity' list?

Since they are a subsidiary of Citigroup ~ a publicly traded 500 Company - have you called Citigroup?

    Good luck.
