Prince william and harry?

okay,let's say that prince harry or prince william married to an american woman who was a commoner, and from a necessarily a "rich" or aristrocratic" or "noble" family.and she was well-educated and a virgin.let's say that she was NOT A CATHOLIC BUT NEITHER A PROTESTANT,but from a different religion.let's also say that this woman was barren and familiar to christianity.as in although she was practicing of another religion,but was willing to accompany william or harry to the church and all other church-related things whatsoever.but you know,a decent woman with morals.now the real question is;UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES,WOULD PRINCE HARRY AND/OR PRINCE WILLIAM BE ALLOWED TO MARRY SUCH A WOMAN?

If there was medical proof that the young woman was barren, I do not believe that the Queen would sanction the marriage.  But I could be wrong!

It may seem weird but I have a hobby of researching this kind of stuff. From what I have learned over the past few months that I have spent time learning about the royals and thier laws, this is the best answer I can give....As many already know,Prince Harry will no doubt have more freedom when choosing a wife than Prince William.The law that dictates that those in succession to the throne cannot marry a Roman Catholic is not from the time of Henry VIII but from the time of William III and Mary II. It is called the Act of Settlement of 1701.The present Royal family rules under this law and it is strictly enforced. For example,Prince Michael of Kent married a Catholic and is no longer in succession, he would have been about 20th. To make a long story short, Prince William cannot and will not marry a Catholic woman if he wants to keep the throne. When William is King he will be the head of the Church of England (Anglican), it would just look silly for him to marry outside of his faith.But who knows really,they are modern royals and are known for re-writing the rules of past royals! :)

Um- your question is confusing with all the qualifications but from what I can understand- yes. I think that the establishment that is the monarchy is done meddling too much with marriages. While Harry will have much more freedom regarding his choice, William is stubborn enough to stick by a woman he truly loves and smart enough to choose someone who can handle the job with grace, dignity, class, and glamour.

Under the current British line of succession governed by the Act of Settlement of 1701, the monarch must be a Protestant at time of accession, and enter into communion with the Church of England after accession. Anyone who is Roman Catholic, becomes Roman Catholic, or marries a Roman Catholic is permanently excluded from the succession. Therefore, in order to be married into the royal family, the future bride to be must be a Protestant and a member of the Anglican Church.

Note: Any royal member can pretty much marry whomever they want, as long as they are ready to accept the consequences. If Prince William really wants to marry a Catholic person, than obviously he is welling to give up his rights to claim the British throne. The law does not "prohibit" him from marrying a Catholic, it only prohibits him from ascending the throne.

As for choosing a barren bride, there are currently no laws that covers this area. Obviously, it will be frowned upon by the older members of the royal family. Sophie, Countess of Wessex probably falls into this category, since she was having major difficulty conceiving. Lady Louise Windsor was conceived through IVF. If this kind of method is acceptable by the royal family, I do not see why it will be a problem for either Prince William or Prince Harry if they also have difficulty producing a royal offspring.

i would think that they could, but since they're from England i would think they would need to marry someone who's at least English.
