Private Investors?

Question

I was wondering if anyone has ever used a private investor and if they have where did they find them? I live in Massachusetts and I just don't know where do start looking. Thanks!

Call your local Chamber of Commerce and ask about investor clubs, small business incubators and similar sorts of activities where investors (looking for new ventures) meet with entrepeneurs (who need investors).

yes I have...............Are you trying to make money fast or over time? Is it substatial amount or a small amount....That makes all the difference.........

I took 50K and invested in my friends pizza shop.........I get 5% a month of his net profits for as long as it stays in business. And thats after I got all my money back.........

He opend three more stores and Im doing the same with all three........I now do not work, and make money sitting here ansdwering your questions....=)

depends on your venture...use the internet...if its a small business you could get a loan from the bank...if you are looking for fnancial investors...if its something huge...check out some venture capitalists using the internet...you better have a proposal ready...and some background info on your venture...including a business plan and legal representation.
