Private Lessons?!?!?

In the USFSA, how old do you have to be to be a private lesson coach? Can you still compete even if you teach?

Well, there is no age limit- anyone can have a private coach. Also, you can compete even if you teach because I know someone who competes and have private lessons at the same time. :)

Most skaters start teaching when they are high school age. They usually start with group lessons and then move to private lessons. It's good to have a mentor coach help you with this transition but not necessaries.

Yes, you still can compete while you teach.
