Private teachers?

Hi, does anyone know how much it would cost for a private teacher? The kind of teachers celebrity kids have. I also wanted to know if it was true that you can get through school faster with one instead of going to a regular school. Not a tutor,but like being homeschooled. My mother can't teach me because of work, but she wanted to know how much a professional teacher would cost. Right now we pay $5000 for private school. Would it be more than that?

That is really dependent upon the area in which you live.  It also depends on the local laws.  In my area, private tutors are explicitly forbidden.  Parents or schools must teach you. No one else is allowed to be responsible.  

I would also look into schools online with videoconferencing and supplementary materials like DVD lessons.  

Also based on local practices, you may be able to dual enroll at the local community college for coursework.  This would be especially great for sciences.  Biology and chemistry are two  subjects that I would seriously consider attending in a school setting.
