  1. They are about the same..  If you look at the Classic line in the bike and skate categories for instance, they are identical.  Some of the bike helmets have attachable visors.

Pro-Tecs are multisport helmets..  You can use them for biking, skateboarding, snowboarding, or fast-roping out of a Blackhawk helicopter (yep, Pro-Tecs are used by Navy SEALs and Delta Force).  :-D

  2. That's not correct......well, it's only partially correct.   I just bought an Ace Dig from them a few weeks ago, and while I was browsing their site I noticed that the skate helmets are offered in two varieties.   One is the multi-impact foam which is also used in their bike helmets.  The other is a 2-stage foam that's really only good for low-speed single impacts....those helmets are NOT certified and are not legal in some states.

Great helmets, and I like the shinguards I got from them, too.  If you're buying one of their skate-marketed helmets, just be sure to get the more expensive of the two varieties offered in each model.  Or, just be sure you're buying one marketed for bicycles.  Keep your noggin safe.     :o)
