Problem playing dvds with old TV

Hi all,

I have an older Television that only has only one cable/antenna connection. And i have bought new DVD recorder and they provided one RF Modulator also. The problem i am unable to tune the channel in the old TV. This TV has no AV in the remote. Previously i used to tune to play movie when connected to VCR. My tv has VHF1, VHF3, UHF bands. I tuned into these bands and also auto searched, I am not able to get the display. Please help me out, what is the problem, or what i need to upgrade in the TV like tuner card etc.

if your tv is too old it will not respond because it is not getting a signal

Try tuning the tv to channel 3 or 4.

And i will assume you have the RF Modulator hooked up correctly.
