Problem with bug or Cockroach?

Question

Ok, so I was in my room watching TV and I heard a crinkling sound on paper I looked on my floor and there was a bug that was long with long legs looking like a cockroach and it was crawling on my carpet about to go under the open peice of carpet...Of course being terrified I ran away, but how can I get it out I don't even like being in the same room with it knowing the next moment I flip my pillow over BOOM! Or put my sock on and it's inside...any tips on what a scared of bug...skeptical person should do?

if its a roach you will know same thing happened to me but it was just a bug.lol if its a roach the will be every where big and small and you will see poo everywhere just get some poison and sprinkle it at openings where the source and don't let kids get around it.
