Problem with videocam??

Question

okay so its like this. when i play my video, the audio is off from the video, like the timing is really off. example, if i hit a drum, the sound it would make comes about a half second before i hit the drum on the video,,,

is this normal and how can i fix this problem?

video is not insync w/ audio

- light travels faster than sound... try to use an external mic placed near the sound source, better use audio recording system moreso w/ loud music

- if vcam is on DVtape, connect to pc w/ firewire400 cable; possible drop frames w/ usb (Vista -> only firewire, also macs)

- defragment your hddrive more often, moreso if u do video editing.

- if u do heavy video editing, use external hddrive so that u can re-format ext. hhdrive
