Problem with xbox reading disk?

Question

my xbox doesn't read games but it reads dvd so i don't know the problem. its usually during updates that it says o its a dvd put it into a dvd player or w.e so i dont know. and in cod 4 its after i load a game on xbox live. anyone know if i can fix this without sending it in. and i tried blowing the insides with air to see if the little disk reader thing was dusty. didn't work. anyone got a solution?

Your disk probably has a miocroscratch.  You can try and exchange it, but you'll probably have to buy a new one.

Maybe the laser that reads the disc's is shot?
